Mix n Match Trends

Many trends have popped up over the past few months in the fashion industry as well as on our little paperdoll heaven - the occasional ripped jeans, the new eyeshadow everyone must have, and even the cutest thing to place in your suite. Here, I'll cover all the different trends which have really caught my eye. And what can get more eye-catching than mixing and matching patterns and prints?

If you go through the Glamour site every now and then, you'll be able to find pages of trends and fashion fads which have recently hit the catwalk and will soon hit home. As I was looking for material to write in this blog, I received a blessing from the virtual fairies - Chris Benz's mix and match from Spring 2011. If you don't know anything about Chris Benz, here's a short little bio for you.

Chris Benz was born in 1982 in the United States, and later in life went on to Parson's School of Design. During his time there he did an internship with Marc Jacobs and worked at J.Crew before revealing his own collection in 2007. He's known for bold colors, prints, texture, and his technique.
Now that we're done with that little fashion detour, I'll get to the point. Chris Benz released this outfit, yet another beautiful piece of work:

My favorite part about this outfit had to be the way he kept a bright color consistent in all of the outfit - orange. Then, there were different patterns and styles incorporated to give a chic and quirky feel to the assemble. Before long, I felt I had to create a mix and match outfit myself, and found myself searching the vast reaches of Stardoll for a decent look.

Includes:
Up and Down Blouse - Stardoll - 13 Stardollars
Infinite Ruffle Miniskirt - Bonjour Bizou - 12 Stardollars

It's not as colorful as what Chris Benz designed, but it does incorporate the same ideas he did - different textures and patterns.
Do you have your own piece inspired by Chris Benz's outfit? Leave your Stardoll username below and let us know!
